Mad Science was founded in 1985, by two enterprising brothers, Ariel and Ron Shlien. They franchised their growing business in 1995, with locations opening in the UK and around the globe. In 2016, Mad Science partnered with Crayola® on an art concept called Crayola® Imagine Arts Academy™, which they began franchising across North America in 2019. Now, both brands are available to own across the length and breadth of the UK.
For over 35 years, Mad Science® has sparked imaginative learning through unique, hands-on STEM experiences for children. We offer innovative after-school clubs, birthday parties, workshops, special events, and summer camps for kids ages 3-12.

Financial Information
How much will it cost to become a Mad Science franchise owner?
The initial franchise fee is £10,000. You will receive a £500 rebate if your franchise contract is signed by July 1, 2023.
You will also need to purchase a start-up promotional package at a cost of £5,500. The start-up promotional package contains the necessary items to market and set up for parties, programmes, classes, and related events.
Additional science equipment necessary to run Mad Science experiences can be rented from a local depot.
